Childcare management includes monthly fire drills…

Posted by: teriatpersoft on: July 15, 2008

Many states require child care centers owners and directors to keep a log of the monthly fire drills showing the date, number of children in attendance and the time each drill was completed.

Not only will the fire drills help children and staff know what to do when the fire alarm rings, the parents can see the fire drill log and understand the evacuation procedure.

Time Manager Pro http://www.childcaremanager.com/timemanager/index.html gives up to the minute electronic attendance tracking to Childcare Manager software.  You know who’s in, who’s out & which authorized adult clocked in or clocked out their children. (It’s set up for staff to use as a timeclock)  You can even choose the option to have the timeclock open a locked door.  Security, pure and simple.

Emergencies happen.  Practice kicks in.  You begin orderly evacuation with Childcare Manager’s “Children Currently Clocked In” report in hand–classrooms, children’s names and total–ready to count heads.  Tragedy avoided.

Start with Childcare Manager http://www.childcaremanager.com  Get your automated attendance tracking in place.  You’ll be ready for the everyday activities and the hope-they-never-happen emergencies.  Any tips on fire drills and helping children learn what to do?
