Childcare Professionals rise to the challenge of Staycations…

Who knows better how to play, how to encourage and how to inspire children? You do. As an owner or director of a childcare center you invest in childcare professionals as your employees. Individuals to whom the care and nurturing of children is their vocation. Individuals to whom patience is not just a virtue, it’s a survival tool. Individuals whose wells of love and caring never run dry.
With the cost of living and doing business rising at a dizzy rate, wouldn’t you agree that the rise in popularity of Staycations is less about families reducing their “carbon footprint” and ALL about staying financially afloat?
“Pack Your Bags, We’re Staying Home.” Summer Staycations mean your enrollment goes down. In your heart of hearts you know that parents spending all-day time with their children is precious. You can help the parents re-learn to play.
Write a “Staycation Fun” letter. Parents! Your mission is to act as you would on vacation. Take a break from electronics–work OR play. Do your home projects & chores BEFORE your Staycation starts, if that helps you to relax. Oh, and no alarm clocks or strict bedtimes. Be a tourist in your hometown. Pick up coupon books at the Chamber of Commerce. Keep a Vacation Journal with digital print and handmade pictures, stubs and stories about who did what.
While the families are visiting the land of Imagi-Nation, this is the perfect time to enhance, enrich, regroup and organize your childcare management and accounting records. Get Childcare Manager downloaded www.childcaremanager.com , tested and in place before summer’s end. Spend less time at your desk. YOUR Staycation is to get back to the feelings that inspired you to become a Childcare Professional. By the way, what inspired you?
Again, I’m always on the lookout for outstanding childcare management ideas & I am excited to have this blog to share them with you. Any and all comments (& encouragement) will receive my eternal gratitude.
